Legal Costs information
We want to be clear and transparent with you at all times. Therefore, at the onset of any matter with you, we will be discussing costs and offer you any available pricing options.
In general, our costs are charged either:
- on an hourly basis, plus VAT; or
- based on a fixed fee agreement with the client depending on the complexity of the matter, plus VAT.
Our hourly rate is £300 plus VAT per hour. However, every case differs and evolves differently from the other depending on the circumstances, clients’ needs, complexity involved and procedure. It is therefore very difficult for us to provide a definitive number of hours which it takes to complete a matter. However, we will be providing you with costs and time estimates at the onset of your matter and as your case progresses. We will be keeping you updated as to the amount of time spent and bill you regularly to reflect the same. Please note that we will also request a payment of funds on account at the outset of our instructions.
You are responsible to pay our fees for our work irrespective of the outcome of your matter. We do not operate on a no win-no fee basis.
DISBURSEMENTS
These are expenses paid to third parties on your behalf as and when necessary. During the course of a matter, it may become necessary to instruct other professionals or experts or pay third party fees such as court or other application fees. Of course, depending on your matter, we will be providing you with an estimate of such costs either at the onset of our instructions or at the time when such costs become apparent during the course of your matter.
We will never make any such payments without your prior authorisation. If we are dealing with cross jurisdictional matters, then the fees of any foreign lawyers will also be notified to you in advance.
Below we provide an estimate of fixed fee agreements. Please note fixed fee arrangements depend on the complexity of each matter, therefore the fee structure below is only an estimate.
VAT Note: We are VAT Registered. All our legal fees, whether fixed or hourly based, are subject to 20% VAT. This means an additional of 20% will be added to all our legal fees for VAT purposes.

Other expenses
There may be other expenses which we need to pay on your behalf. These can include:
- Home Office application fees
- Home Office appointment fees
- Court fees
- Fees for expert reports
- Barristers’ fees
- Interpreters’ fees
- Other third parties
You are responsible for paying the fees of third parties, including other professionals or experts, and the fees for our services would not include the fee for other professionals we engage on your behalf. Unless these are paid directly to the third parties by you, these will be listed separately on your bill and you may be charged VAT in relation to these expenses.
We will not proceed to disbursements unless we notify you beforehand. Before we engage any professional on your behalf, we would normally inform you and ask you to make payment in advance of using the services of that professional, failing which we would not be able to use the services of the professional. As we become aware of payments that will need to be made, we will ask you to pay in advance to cover the payments as the matter progresses. Once you have agreed and the expenditure is incurred, you will be responsible to pay.
